The Ocean of Origin is the first stage of the first world of E.V.O. Search for Eden and 64 Okunen Monogatari.

In 64 Okunen Monogatari, it is known as たびだちのうみ (Tabidachi no umi), which translates as the "Sea of Departure".

The Ocean of Origin is an open ocean area, which mainly serves as a very linear tutorial stage, that introduces the player to the basics of the game and their very first enemy, the Jellyfish.

Unless the player is very careless, the Jellyfish will barely pose a threat at all and are very easy to defeat. Also, they are the only kind of enemy encountered in this stage.

Progressing to the very right of the stage and leaving it will open up the next stage for exploration.

Tips and Tricks

As long as they haven't passed the Domain of Cepalas, which is also located in the first world, the player can always return to the Ocean of Origin to gain more E.V.O. points and recover their health.

Defeating a Jellyfish, swimming a screen away from its original location and returning afterwards, will cause the Jellyfish to respawn, allowing the player to grind for E.V.O. points and evolve stronger body parts early.

This trick also works with any other enemy ingame and has been tested and confirmed for both the English and the Japanese versions of E.V.O. Search for Eden.
